Sweet Pea looooves pretending to eat ice cream.
I think it’s because for her first birthday, she got a play set that came with break-apart ice cream cones, and it was the first pretend-food that always came up. When she eventually got a taste of the real thing, all hope was lost and now you can actually cure her out of a tantrum just by saying the word.
So when I was given the opportunity to review Num Noms, I figured it was a perfect new toy to introduce to my ice-cream loving toddler!
What are Num Noms? Exactly what they sound like, obviously:
Like my candy-themed background? I thought it was appropriate 🙂
Num Noms are these adorable little ice cream and cupcake shaped toys that smell delightful! The little icon beside each of them represents their scent and vividly brings me back to these toys I had as a child:
Cupcake Dolls! Ahhhh! I wonder if I still have mine in my parents’ basement…
I digress. Num Noms are way smaller and come in 3 different “styles” if you will:
The Num is the rubber topper shaped like a cupcake or scoop of ice cream. The Nom can be a smooth, motorized Nom, or a clamshell style lip gloss case. They are all scented and come in a variety of different colours.
The motorized Noms jitter and rattle around when you press the bow on top of their head. So what can you do with Num Noms? You can collect them, play with them on their own, or team them up with the Num Noms Go Go Cafe:
This “track” is like a little roller coaster with a bunch of fun features like a Teapot shower, Spinning Donut Wheel, Teeter Totter Saucer, and removable Peek-a-Boo Tea Cup with spoon.
To help you see everything in action, I’ve made this video of Sweet Pea opening up the Mystery Boxes, Sampler Packs, and playing with the Num Noms on the Go Go Cafe.
Num Noms are available at Toys R Us between $5.99-$44.99.
